7 Reasons to participate in the 8th Poultry & Livestock Bangladesh Int'l Expo 2025
8th Poultry & Livestock Bangladesh Expo 2025 is the Oldest & Biggest International Exhibition of its kind serving the Poultry, Livestock & Animal Husbandry Industry of Bangladesh for 8 years
Over the years, the demand for poultry products in Bangladesh has grown significantly; per capita
consumption per year increased to 9.945 kg poultry meat and 5.96 kg (126 pieces) eggs in 2023.
The achievement in the poultry sub-sector is more prominent as expected due to high rate of growth of
the poultry population. According to a BPICC source, investment in poultry in the 80s was only BDT 1,500 crore,
which has now reached BDT 39,000 crore.
With its potential for export, Bangladesh is poised to become self-sufficient in chicken production in a short while, as the industry is expected to attract BDT 50 billion in investment over the next two years.
Commercial poultry farms are growing at a rate of 15% a year, with investment in the sector expected
to double in the next decade. It is estimated that today 1 million entrepreneurs and 8 million people commercially
produce 10.22 billion eggs and 1.46 million tons of poultry meat annually.
In FY 2022-23, the total amount of livestock in Bangladesh exceeded 44 crores. Due to this Bangladesh
is now self-sufficient in meat production and can meet the population demand for 830 grams of meat per capita.
